Cook-Customer Service Representative at Aarde Bakery Bread Bar
Aarde Bakery is an artisanal bakery in Telliskivi Creative City, Tallinn. We're focused on dark sourdough breads, rye sabres and stock breads. We're also focused on all things sandwich and our Bread Bar hosts special sandwich dinners with a wood heated stone oven at the heart of the experience.
Tasks
The Bread Bar chef: Takes sandwich and drink orders, Prepares sandwiches served at Aarde Bakery Sandwich Bar, Offers guests their preferred drinks, Keeps the Sandwich Bar clean and tidy, Bakes bread once or twice a week, Visits the market and online vendors to source fresh ingredients, Participates in menu development, creating new sandwiches and toppings, Engages with guests and can talk about the food offered at the Sandwich Bar, including ingredients and preparation methods.
Candidate requirements
- Work experience at a similar job at least 1 year
- Education level vocational secondary education
- Certificates, credentials, qualifications Toiduainetöötleja
- Language skills
Language Speech Writing Estonian - indicative C1 (proficient language user) - very good C1 (proficient language user) - very good English - required C1 (proficient language user) - very good C1 (proficient language user) - very good - Computer skills intermediate level The employee should be able to send emails and have basic skills in spreadsheet programs (Google Sheets) and calendar applications (Google Calendar). Experience with social media platforms is also a plus.
- Other requirements The Bread Bar serves its customers from an open kitchen, where the distance between the customer and the sandwich chef is almost nonexistent. Therefore, the sandwich chef should be someone who is comfortable applying their skills in front of customers. Good communication skills are an advantage, but the employer does not equate good communication with simply talking a lot. Effective communication also means listening well and being attentive to customers' needs. The most important thing is that the constant gaze of customers watching your work does not make you uncomfortable.
