Services and Benefits

Work practice

Work practice is designed for people who:

  • have been unemployed for a long time or do not have any working experience,
  • want to enhance your teamwork skills or gain experiences of working in a group,
  • want to learn and get support from people with similar experiences,
  • feel that their motivation to search for a job has decreased,
  • would like to find out more about their own capabilities and skills, as well as the process of applying for a job.

Work practice will give you:

  • the ability to gain a work habit and be able to better cope with work routine;
  • new skills and successes by doing something with their hands during practical tasks;
  • ability to assess one's strengths and weaknesses, courses of action based on one's skills and experience, as well as limitations;
  • knowing which field of work is the most suitable for you;
  • the ability to recognize sources of stress and mitigate them;
  • the ability to adjust the documents required for applying for a job according to the position.

Organisation of work practice

  • Activities take place in a group of up to 13 people.
  • Work practice is organised on weekdays, for 5–6 hours.
  • The day is filled with exciting lectures and exercises, during which various tasks related to working and applying for a job are solved together in a group. Practical activities bring some change.
  • During coffee breaks and lunch, you will be able to share your own experiences and listen to those of others, which in turn provides an opportunity to get encouraged by others’ successes.

Unemployed persons who have registered as unemployed at the Unemployment Insurance Fund, and who have also discussed the need to participate in work placement with their consultant, can participate in work practice.

You will be paid a grant and commuting and accommodation benefit for days spent at the work practice.
