Payment of the unemployment allowance will be suspended in the following cases:

• if you breach the actions agreed on in the action plan without a good reason, or refuse a suitable job, the payment of unemployment allowance will be suspended for 10 days from the day following the day of the last consultation, and the period of paying unemployment allowance will be shortened by 10 days;
• if you fail to attend a meeting without good reason, or do not establish contact at the agreed time by phone or via e-töötukassa, the payment of unemployment allowance will be suspended from the day from the day following the day of the last consultation until the day of the next consultation, and the period of paying unemployment allowance will be shortened by the corresponding number of days;
• if you receive non-recurring remuneration exceeding EUR 410,13, you must notify your consultant thereof. Upon receiving income, payment of the unemployment allowance will be suspended for 30 days from the day following the day of the last consultation, and the period of paying unemployment allowance will be extended for 30 days.

Payment of unemployment allowance will be terminated before the prescribed time in the following cases:

• if your registration as unemployed is terminated. The unemployment allowance will be paid until the last personal meeting or instance of contact via e-töötukassa or by phone, but not longer than the last day of being registered as unemployed;
• the second time you refuse to comply with the action plan without good reason, refuse suitable work or fail to turn up for an appointment at the appointed time;
• if you generate permanent income exceeding EUR 410,13, payment of the unemployment allowance will be terminated as at the day preceding the generation of the income. The remuneration paid for temporary work (odd job), specified in § 11 (3) of the Labor Market Measures Act, will not be considered among income (EUR 354,40 per calendar month in 2025);
• if you become eligible for work ability allowance, the payment of unemployment allowance will be terminated as at the day of becoming eligible for work ability allowance. If work ability allowance is paid retroactively for the period that coincides with the period of paying unemployment allowance, the payment of unemployment allowance will be terminated as at the day that follows the last day of calculating unemployment allowance, which precedes the day of making the decision to pay work ability allowance;
• if you are assigned a flexible old-age pension pursuant to the State Pension Insurance Act.
